1. Introduction of the Project:

Constructing a connector road from intersection of the East-West Avenuewith NH1A (An Lac) to the Ho Chi Minh – Trung Luong Expressway according to standards of a urban main axle;

Organize reasonable transport to ensure smooth, fast and safe transport; solve traffic jam in the related road networks in the region;

– Start point: it is contiguous to the East-West Avenue (it is also contiguous to grade separation intersection between the East-West Avenue and NH1A) including 2 remaining resettle branches of the intersection between NH 1A and the East-West Avenue.

– End point: About Km5+560, (the chainage of Tan Tao –Cho Dem road under the Ho Chi Minh city –Trung Luong Expressway).

– Total length: about 2,7km;

– It is proposed to invest in accordance with urban road standards.

2. Construction location: Binh Chanh district under HCMC.

3. Total investment cost: it is estimated about 106,79 million USD, in there:

– Civil works : 65,47 million USD

– Other cost : 9,7 million USD

– Contingency : 18,05 million USD

– Land acquisition (budget of HCMC) : 13,57 million USD

4. Preparation of the documents and requirements of Technical Assistance (TA):

– Preparation of the documents: Completion of the F/S and approval of the F/S are proposed to finish in the second quarter of 2010.

– Requirements of contents of TA: Review.

5. Interest of sponsors to the project and form of investment:

– The project received interest of JICA.

– Form of investment: use ODA and advanced funds from the State Budget or invest in accordance with form of PPP.

6. The proposed schedule:

– Preparing technical & design and bidding for civil works: The fourth quarter of 2010 and the first quarter of 2011.
Start: in 2011
